April – Autism Awareness Month

While school is often a great place for many children for those living with Autism, the start of a new term can bring many challenges.

One in 69 children in Australia now has a diagnosis of Autism, and the numbers each year are rising. It would be very rare these days for families not to be impacted by Autism, either personally, a member of their extended family or those your community.

Parents raising children living with this can be under extreme stress and can often feel extremely judged and isolated.

And as we wind up Awareness Month, I chat with Timothy Charles about some of the ways you can help a family you know who may be feeling challenged.
