Tapping Away Anxiety

According to the National Survey of Mental health and wellbeing, anxiety is the most common mental health condition in Australia.
On average, 1 in 4 people – 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men – will experience anxiety.
Recent research has shown that using Emotional Freedom Techniques – Tapping – significantly increases positive emotions, such as hope and enjoyment, and decreases negative emotional states, including anxiety. EFT is particularly powerful because it specifically targets your amygdala and hippocampus, which are the parts of your brain that help you decide whether something is a threat, causing anxiety and stress.

Emotional Freedom Techniques is growing in both evidence and popularity, being used for weight control, procrastination, anxiety, stress and also to help in setting goals.

The thing about it – is that it is so easy to do. Once people master it, it can be used anywhere, anytime and people report feeling like a weight has been lifted off their shoulder.
